[#ACE_ ARTICLES] WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? …by RapDivaOfficial

I’m sure you are looking at the title and thinking “Rap Diva has come again, what thunderbolt did she bring this time?“. Well, first of all, let me start by saying get used to me on AceWorldTeam because I am here to stay. I’m back with another thunderbolt that affects everyone, but I mostly concentrate on artists. [Get over to it, I’m one]. My thunderbolt today is “Pride“.

Hmmmm. Pride is a slow poison that gives you satisfaction while killing you softly. You are a musician with a couple songs that are pretty popular, most of the girls wanna have you and you are spending money and popping champagne so everyone should bow to you? Wake up, Joseph! Like “Wande Coal” will say – you must be stupid. It’s amazing how money can change and overshadow people’s sense of reasoning. I saw an artist once, [I won’t tell you who he is] I said “Hi!!! I’m a big fan of your music!” and he says, “sorry who are you?“. The manner in which he said it, I felt like hanging him at that point in that time. I am like “It’s either you are deaf or daft! I said I’m a fan of your music and you’re putting up this irritating attitude, I’m disappointed!” I walked away with the whole crowd staring at me and he was shocked. Yeh, I know, they say I’m evil and mean but like I’ve told you before it’s for the best but I had to put him in his place.

If your fans take out time to see you and tell you they love your music, call you or tweet at you, the least you can do is respect them afterall they made you. If they don’t listen to your songs or buy your CDs, the blunt truth is you are finished! Why should you ignore your fans? Even if you are not paying now, you will pay later .I know artistes have tight schedules but at least, let them know when you are online, they will feel your presence. It will take nothing from you but raise you higher. Take “Banky W” and “Don Jazzy” as examples, even as magnified and famous they are, they take their time to reply their fans and this makes their fans love them the more.

Pride always goes before a fall.

Feeling on top of the world can take you nowhere. Even the rumour going round about “DavidO” being slapped by a mobile policeman is not confirmed but if it is true according to the full story, then he deserved it. From this, you will learn that being an “Omo Baba Olowo” cannot save you from the consequences of your pride. You should be humble and approachable everytime as a normal person or else you won’t be respected at all.

Humility is a virtue we should adopt because “Pride” has no reward at all.Everywhere you go, wear the cloth of humility. Be good and stay good.

Yours Truly
