Morientez is a Nigerian-born artiste, who started his musical journey by singing in a church choir at age 7. A graduate of Chemistry from the University of Benin, he has performed in churches, clubs, competitions and several events. He has participated in and won several music talent competitions in Nigeria; amongst them, the The MTN/Sound City Campus blast 2007, he was a runner-up at the Star Quest music talent hunt 2008, he was a semi finalist at the Naija Sings 2010 competition, and winner Mr. Glo Rock and Rule 2011 [South South region]. His musical influences are several decades of local and foreign artistes, Motown artists, hip-hop icons, R’n’B crooners, Fela Kuti, Rex Lawson and to a large extent, Bob Marley.

His encounter with iconic producer Sunky, C.E.O Sunkytones sparked the beginning of a fantastic hit production partnership. Sunky is the wonder-kid producer who churned out several hits for the R’n’B group – Styl Plus, who released songs such as “Olufunmi”, “Imagine That”, just to name a few. Morientez has worked with several big names in preparation for his album, including Nigeria’s top notch rapper, M.I. This is his debut single titled “Cinderella“; it is definitely a sound to keep you wanting more from this talented artiste! | ENJOY!!!
