Hailing from Ondo state, Nigeria, Toby (real name – Tobi Omowole) couldn’t have chosen a better time to shine in his music career; the ever dynamic music industry, vibrant culture and his life experiences formed a backdrop for the songs that youth love to listen to. Toby‘s journey into music started at the tender age of five when his vocal prowess was obvious to his family and all those around him; at the age of sixteen, he took his music up a notch as he began recording when he got into Redeemer’s University. There, he met his long-time friends TriQ, Mayday and Dapo Tuburna and formed the now independent label, TopNotch; in 2014, he released his début mix-tape titled “Concrete Jungle” and a year later, he made a collaborative album with his fellow TopNotch artistes, TriQ and Dapo Tuburna, titled “Cosa Nostra“; both works received rave reviews from music critics and fans alike. Toby continued to show great commitment to advancing in his music career and developing his talents even as he pursued a degree in Law; it was tough but he rose to the challenge and in December 2017, he got called to the Nigerian Bar.

The young man is finally geared up to take the music Industry by storm as he releases what he calls ‘the first in a million‘ songs; titled “Softly,” and produced by the fast-rising producer.
