The mall was as busy as ever. People trooped in their numbers as same volume rushed out with different grocery bags and loaded carts of purchases; waiters crossed around the section from table to table, some with tray-filled content over their shoulder and others with empty trays dangling in their dropped hands. A cute little girl ran across as her mom walked behind; chit-chats and laughter streamed across from another table and the next was a nest of 4 young men, blowing fumes from their smoke-pipe apparatus. The atmosphere was lively, everyone seemed to be in the mood of fun – girls cuddled up with loved ones, some held hands and talked. Somewhere at the extreme end of the section, a couple cared less of the crowd as they shared an intimate moment locking lips.

Our table was different – confusion, should it be tagged.

This was the calmest pandemonium I had ever experienced emotionally. This was not; my mind in a fix, my soul in a diaspora, my body in a tremble or my spirit in a confinement. This was a dejavu in dilemma. An event birthed out of the fear of re-occurrence, yet just an inception of my imagination. This was the reality of a mirage – a Pessimist Oxymoron.

Akin, one known for his instant smartness, was quick to decipher what was going on; following the Brother Deliver Brother code, he devised an instant idea – a method to release a little of the unexpected tension that had hit the table. Though he knew not how long and effective his plan would work, it was a start to a trial.

Anyone would like chocolate with their drink?” He quickly dented the aura around the table like it was a piece of soft metal.

Nah! We’ve got some here.Vivian was next to speak as she hurriedly reached for the white shopping bag by her side and had her hand scattering through it’s content for the black and green box of chocolate.

Akin retorted quickly, “I’ll buy more, no need to shorten your supplies.” He sprang to his feet quickly, took a few steps toward Vivian and pulled her up. “I know you like shopping, come show me what you’ve got.

Vivian was reluctant but she knew not to spoil the mood on the table – it was spoilt already.

Lemme go with you.Cynthia suggested.

Cynthia Statistics

Height: 5ft. 7in = 173cm
Bust: 34B
Waist: 27
Hip: 37.5

She’s a size 6 model-fit candidate, but she despised anything public attention. Known to be reserved and struck to her mood of individualism among friends, she was the type to quickly roar out an outburst when the discussed idea/matter was dragged to the concern of outside elements within the box, be it contemplation or contention. Could this be the same reason she offered a cold shoulder to Jide?

**********

Jide wandered off from the table not wanting to disturb Abiodun and Tolu; he had caught the bro-code, though late, but he had obliged to his instincts to leave the table and wander off for some self-fun. Jide‘s memory was experiencing an immune to whatever emotional fever had caught the table earlier but he couldn’t escape his past escapade with YewandeFatima‘s cousin. He knew the occurrence had been of the recent and he never completed the story to Abiodun. Though Abiodun had been the 2nd person he had related the event to, he had left out vital story parts – live occurrence that could have awakened Abiodun‘s instinct on his act after the not-told episode. He wandered off to the bowling section of the mall and remembered he had very little to spare in the game play as he had readily indulged himself in the purchase of most drinks on the table. All thanks to Akin‘s extra spending, he could have been in a state of … Unexplainable!

**********

Akin thought most to apply instincts to his new idea of dragging Vivian off the table; though he hadn’t believed Cynthia wouldn’t follow suit, his plan had been to divide the table to a sub-section of 3 – each newly framed couple to themselves, but Cynthia had seen it most preferable to follow the wandering pair off to their quest rather than to face Jide on the escaped birthed by Akin.

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN NEXT?

You wey cause me trouble for Wahala junction, you don forget say one day we go meet for Trouble bus-stop.” – DJ Sean

**********

How long have you known Abiodun for?Akin had asked as he pulled along both shoulders of the girls; Vivian on the right and Cynthia on the left, but he kept his gaze on Vivian. They had this conversation of who is who. Viviain won’t open up on her involvement of feelings with Abiodun. She had had her first over the air conversation with Akin on Friday – the Club Night Abiodun never got to attend, and Akin had seen it has a medium to lure Abiodun to failure rather than himself to not actualizing his desire to have Vivian and her friends over that night at the AceWorldTEAM headquarters – that had been the name of the crib Akin and Abiodun stayed in, since Akin had seen to pioneer the movement.

**********

Jide on the barricade of the upper part of the mall that housed BheerHugs had wandered off in thought trying so hard to understand the picture drama his eyes and brain had tried playing on him. He was a well-built young man, fit enough to be a master in any of the following fields – gym expert, bouncer or the kind of boy-friend that you are confident can beat any a**-hole who tries to molest you in public. Jide on the contrary had a little negotiable time with his thinking faculty than his physic, the best he had come close to in cerebral application was in his new found passion – Music. He thought of Yewande and Fatima. Only a few knew what had transpired after his lips made a move for that of Yewande; he had prayed no one he told the story asked him further than the narrated.

Maybe I should stop telling people this story“, he said out loud to himself and just then, Cynthia, the girl he had tried so hard to get her BB Pin approached him and whispered…

What story could that be? I wanna know about it.

**********

Abiodun acted a fool. He was shy, stupid and reluctant to start a conversation; truthfully, he still had the pain of the impromptu break-up between him and Tolu in his mind. Has he wandered off in thought? Reminiscing about the ill-fate that had spearheaded the immediate but mind-gradual departure between the both of them, he could not help but remember the day he had noticed Tolu was having sex with another guy – how he had found out remained a puzzle to him. He wished he had told Akin about the end result earlier but it was just too devastating for his reputation. He tried composing himself, for Akin wouldn’t be pleased to see him in such a mood – qualified by the term, lost.

I still love you, but who is Vivian to you?” was the last he could remember and pick up from Tolu‘s utterances.

**********

If you agree to give me your BB Pin and phone number, I’ll tell you all about the story – from start to finish. I have never told anyone about this before.Jide said.

Cynthia felt interested by the barter trade and in no time than a quicker time, she and Jide had already shared contacts as Jide saw himself narrating not just the Yewande story, but all that happened afterwards.

**********

Akin and Vivian, hands loaded with a grocery bag of chocolate and more drinks found themselves up the escalator as Vivian prompted to ask Akin a question so rhetorical that Akin found himself lost for the first few seconds.

If she’s Abiodun‘s ex, does that mean all you’ve said to me won’t count or matter anymore?
