As you are reading this, the hit-maker, DJ Zeez [real name – Kingsley Elikpo] has given up moniker, DJ Zeez; the suave music star, known for his catchy lingos like “Fokasibe“, “Same Ni“, “Bobbee“, and “Bomdigidi” among others, made this known on Thursday. The former disc jockey, producer and song-writer, who gained street recognition as far back as 2005 with “Same Ni“, revealed his plans to re-brand and take his music to the next level; the singer, who wants to be known as Zeez by colleagues and fans, disclosed that it is part of his re-branding for 2014. He said that though he had been working on a lot of things in the last few years, like floating his own entertainment company/record label, Vanilla Villa Entertainment [under which he released “Take It Easy” and “Fido Dido” among other club bangers], he is poised to relaunch his career back to a place at the top of the ladder.
“Today is my birthday. I will celebrate, but nothing elaborate. I am dropping my new single, “Sankolo” today as well. This year, I don’t have time for play at all. It’s going to be work, work, and work. There’s a whole lot I plan to do this year. I have taken the first step, the rest will come. I don’t want to talk about it.
