From a position of leadership within the Hip-Hop genre, Reminisce seeks to preserve the culture and elevate the discourse about Hip-Hop beyond the mundane; the “Cypher Sessions Vol. 1” marks a beginning in his quest to give young and relatively unknown acts a voice to express their artistry.
With the base elements of Rap: one DJ, a turntable and MCs on the microphone, Reminisce will showcase the greatness that Nigerian Hip-Hop has become; the “Cypher Sessions” are devoid of the embellishments that characterize the music industry today. “Volume 1” features some of the fiercest MCs in the genre: CDQ, Vector and Ola Dips; subsequent editions will host some of most talented Rap cats on this side of the divide, while also giving opportunities for underground heroes to get their music heard – so watch out for this and if you are a promising MC, stay tuned on how you can participate – listen up and share your thoughts. | ENJOY!!!
