Born in Osun State<\/a> Nigeria<\/a>, but raised in Brooklyn, New York<\/a>, Shay Jones<\/strong> known has Shay<\/strong> to friends and piers schooled all his life in New York city<\/a> and being from where hip-hop started, he quickly fell in love with music like others so growing up, he would always play around with his words and try to form a rap out of his sentences as friends would say. Then in 2011,<\/strong> Shay Jones<\/strong> actually took rap music<\/a> seriously. During that same year he came to Nigeria and teamed up with his friend Gray Jon’z<\/strong> and since then, he started making a name for himself back in the states and in the UK<\/a>. In 2012<\/strong>, he was also featured on rap group SCG<\/a>‘s mix-tape in the UK, and also on Gray Jon’z<\/strong> “The Gray Jon’z Theory<\/strong><\/em>” EP<\/a>, which is set to drop soon in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

He describes his style of music as all about good music, good things in life, swag, and a lot of things young people like to hear. People he his working with on the \u201cJONES SEASON: THE MIXTAPE<\/a><\/strong><\/em>\u201d are Gray Jon’z<\/strong>, Cartiair<\/strong>, Jakuzzy,<\/strong> T-wizzle<\/strong><\/em>, Saucekid<\/strong><\/em>, Terry tha Rapman<\/strong><\/em>, Pherowshuz<\/strong><\/em>, Frenzy<\/strong><\/em>, Nasty J<\/strong><\/em>, BaseOne<\/strong><\/em>, 2kriss<\/strong><\/em>, W4<\/strong><\/em> and Kida Kudz<\/strong><\/em>. The promotion of the mix-tape will be in Nigeria, UK, US and Finland, and will be released under the SPINLET platform.<\/p>\n

The \u201cJONES SEASON: THE MIXTAPE<\/strong><\/em>\u201d is a 14<\/strong>-track mix-tape. Below are two singles off the mix-tape titled \u201cWe Live It<\/strong>\u201d which features Gray Jon\u2019z<\/strong> and \u201cOwo Ati Champagne<\/strong>\u201d which features Cartiair<\/strong> and Jakuzzy<\/strong>. | ENJOY!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n
