12:25AM … Reminiscing on how the previous day went; money is a major issue – plans in motion but no locomotive action, and then, at our 1st placed favorite hangout spot consuming the local herbs, came 9ice‘s very 2nd ever-most ancient popular break-through track into the Nigerian music scene – “Little Money“. Perfectly it did fit into the situation on ground as we sat spending extravagantly on indigenous herbs to every brother present at the Ghetto Corner, not bothered about our expenditure. Lighters Up, Gulps Down…

After recording his 1st demo, he joined a group called “Mysterious Boys” with whom he did a couple of tracks before going on to form his own, now defunct group, “Abinibi“. Having recorded his 1st demo titled “Risi De Alagbaja” in 1996 and his 1st solo song titled “Little Money” in 2000, 9ice had to wait till 2005 before himself and his music started gaining recognition on the Nigerian music market.

The 1st major break for 9ice came from his 1st single titled “Little Money“, and not long after then he did collaborations with different Nigerian artistes that immediately prompted the release of another hit single title “Ganja Man“. ID Cabasa produced “Ganja Man” which was released with other songs in March 2006; the Raggae tone and playful style of the song made it an instant hit. He later found his own record company and release all other album under his label, “Alapomeji Records“.

So much tales for history, 9ice still stands strong on the Nigerian music scenario after a couple changes to his flow pattern, and this here is a major throwback. Listen up and share your thoughts. | ENJOY!!!
