Yhumie Oyelade, a talented saxophonist is quickly becoming one of Jazz’s most thrilling and emotive performers; he continues to stand out and push boundaries as a composer, performer, teacher and recording artiste. His multifaceted profile has diversified into a repertoire of musical Jazz styles – Gospel, Smooth Jazz, Afro Jazz, Highlife, R&B, all kinds of Jazz ensemble.

Yhumie Oyelade’s music has a unique edge and has been able to manicure blends of Nigerian music that is globally sort after; his emergence into the spot-light with his “Since 1960” song, the 1st ever contemporary Jazz progression of the Nigerian national anthem has indeed put a modern spin to the old composition, bringing a more urban influenced audience appreciation to Jazz world.
