D’Bats “Models With Talents” grand finale took place at the Silverbird Galleria, an event clearly planned for a few persons turned out to draw the attention of more people than expected. There was the Green carpet, a small carpet which drew the attention of all as a lot of people queued to get their pictures taken, as well as some interviews as handled by the media houses present.
Working with the SRTV crew, Monalisa Emmanuel [an OAP with Reel Radio] took to the Green Carpet and harnessed composure to it’s fullest; there was a long queue of people waiting to be interviewed and she graciously welcomed as many as she could, famous or not.
DJ Frizzie was on the wheels of steel providing music all the way, as prominent acts littered the Green Carpet and were interviewed – the likes of Sound Sultan, Dipp, Miss Edo 2012, TV and Radio personalities, not forgetting the brain behind the whole event itself, Mr. Deji Bakare [Mr. Nigeria] amongst others.

As a scripter, the staged dance and narrated poem added life to the event. Coming down the OAP line, a couple of music performances sure lifted the spirit of everyone, not leaving out the splendid comedy from the hosts, comedians and contestants who took to drama as their talent.
BUT, as a controversial scripter and a critic, finding faults in such an event was paramount in my line, as there existed some hitch ups which through the eyes of a pro’ was like laying predictions via a crystal ball. The decibels of cheers for each contestants varied, leaving the audience and hanging crowd in suspense over who would emerge the winner.
The event came to a close with the announcement of the winner and I quickly took to the backstage to interview the top placed 3 contestants.
