DLB [real name – Sammiel Ogoye] a.k.a Afrodizzy is an Afrobeat Hip hop/R’n’B artiste, born in the oil rich city of Warri, Delta state. He discovered his passion for music at a tender age of 4 and it started in the year 1992 when his dad bought a VCR [video cassette recorder] and 20-inch colour TV a music video collection.
He went on to be mostly influenced by rappers, and as expected started writing his own lyrics and rapping them but later became a singer; “because it is easy for me to better express myself. Then, I was a bit shy so it kind of restrict my talent to a small amount of people“, in his own words. At the age of 13, he wrote his first song. In 2002, June 14th he lost his elder brother, Bobby Ogoye and in memory of him he adopted the name DLB with “D” for doughty which is also another word for brave and “L” for little and “B” for Bobby.
He joined a group afterwards but they split and became a solo artiste. “Shegege” would be his official debut single as a solo artiste. | ENJOY!!!
