“YBMH Entertainment” presents “Yung Slick” [real name – “Emeka Eke“], a fast-rising and talented rap artiste/songwriter/performer; born to the family of Mr. & Mrs. Eke from Abia State in Eastern Nigeria on November 17th, 1990. He grew up in Festac in Lagos State before moving to Abuja with his family to settle in the Nation’s Capital. “Yung Slick” has been rapping since he turned 12, competing in freestyle battles while he was in secondary school. He recalls free-styling and writing flows on his notepad, while in class.

In his relatively short professional music career he has recorded a little over 50 songs. He hit pay dirt after delivering outstanding verses in 2008, when he recorded a hit single titled “BOB–H“; a street anthem with superstar friends “Playboy Butter” & “Stunner Man” [the song peaked number 1 on “CoolFM 96.9” top ten charts, “Rhythm FM” and “Ray-Power FM” respectively].

“Yung Slick” also has worked with the likes of “Eedris Abdulkareem“, “Fivemics“, “Ghetto P“, “Playboy Butter“, “Dandil Mil” and dance-hall specialist “Mr. Spotlyt“. He has rocked stages alongside the industry’s finest in the likes of “Ice Prince“, “Magnito“, “Wizkid“, “Dare” and close friend “Playboy Butter“. He says his Inspiration comes from “Life” and “God“. He reps “BOB-H“, which stands for the “Best of the Best in Hip Hop“; a street in University of Abuja which has produced top musicians like “P-SQUARE“, “Fivemics“, “GHETTO P” & “Playboy Butter a.k.a Zenom“. Due to his unique style, tight flows, ill punch lines coined phrases like “Put It Down“, and impressive delivery, he has established an enviable fan base in different parts of Nigeria and also got nicknames like “LEGEND“, “SLICKKY“, and “LEGENDARY“. “Yung Slick” is also a member of the YBMH [YungBoysMakingHistory] crew; a hip hop group that has the likes of “Hot Ice” and “JpSwagnificent“, which was founded by Nigerian Entertainment figure “Gerry Gustavo“.

Though he hasn’t been signed to any major record label, he is making history because he is under the care of “YBMH Entertainment“, a fast-rising artist management firm, music entertainment and media company, “Yung Slick” has decided to flaunt his lyrical prowess and he never seems to disappoint whenever he drops; this time off his debut project “YUNG LEGEND EP” which his management says is going to drop later this year [2012] will be hosted by “DJ Kaki P” of “Kiss FM“, Abuja. The 2 singles titled “The Man” and “Do Dat Sexy“, as produced by “Docktor Rex” just goes to show this young lad is here to stay in the game. “The Man” is a wonderful rap song, which would give you a hint on why “Yung Slick” has been rated high by record label executives and music critics; “The Man” is also going to be an anthem, with nice wordplay and punch lines while “Do Dat Sexy” is a nice feel-good music for the ladies and it’s rated 18+ because of it’s raw lyrics; no doubt he is among the leaders of the new school of Nigerian hip-hop. | ENJOY!!!
